2012 Trip Recap: Day 5 ANIMAL KINGDOM

Day 5 we had planned a full day at Disney Animal Kingdom. I have said before I love Animal Kingdom because I am a huge Animal lover-this trip-NOT SO MUCH. Let's Recap.

 As soon as we got to Animal Kingdom-we made a beeline to the Safari-(Same as before) We saw many animals and enjoyed it (as always)

 The kids were big enough this year for some roller coaster action so they took on Mt. Everest. Madyson says it was the scariest ride! But she did it twice :)

 Then we did Kali river rapids. Aubrie Kate had her swimsuit on under her clothes because-we knew how wet she was going to get and we didn't want to hear her complain all day about being soaked. So right before the ride-I jerked her clothes off (leaving on her shoes) and this is what she was wearing as we walked into the ride. ONLY to be turned away because she wasn't dressed. The cast member told us "This isn't a water park-she needs to have clothes on" oh okay-sorry :/ FYI-wear clothes.

 After we were dressed and soaked from Kali River Rapids we decided to get fast passes again for Mt. Everest before heading to lunch. I snapped this famous photo only minutes before the bottom fell out. Now, it rains in Disney a lot and we through on our ponchos and were ready to proceed but yall. It was like a flood. IT RAINED....AND RAINED...AND RAINED...

 We seeked shelter (and BBQ) at the Flametree

 After an hour we had a break so we got in line and saw Finding Nemo and Lion King...only after lion king we came out to MORE RAIN. SO much rain we had to buy new shoes. thank goodness for those Disney Flip Flops!

We left early-and we were wet. But our spirits weren't dampened because the rain cleared in time for Dinner on the Boardwalk at the best restaurant Kouzzina. (you can read my review here)
